Welcome to California Exposition & State Fair

Advisory Councils

The California Exposition & State Fair has three advisory councils addressing the areas of Culture, Art and Agriculture. These advisory bodies are established by the Board of Directors to enhance the outreach efforts of the Board and staff in the communities each serve throughout the State; to advise the Board on matters pertaining to multi-cultural, youth, agricultural and art programs related to education, entertainment and other activities at the annual California State Fair; and to support Board objectives to showcase a broad range of activities during the annual State Fair as well as throughout the year at Cal Expo.

In addition to the three councils, the Board may appoint sub-committees to the Cultural Advisory Council when there are more than three interested and qualified individuals from a particular cultural population.

The California Exposition & the State Fair is once again accepting applications for its Cultural Advisory Council. The Council is an established body of multi-ethnic advisors who make recommendations about entertainment and programming for the annual State Fair, as well as year round activities and other related issues at Cal Expo.
